About us 1960 Wachtler & Co was founded by Mr. Wolfgang Wachtler and partners in Esslingen in 1960. 1999 Mr. Günter Schäfer, Mr. Manfred Börner and Mr. Frank Starzmann launched Wachtler GmbH on January 1st 1999 when Mr. Wolfgang Wachtler left the company to enjoy his deserved retirement. 2008 Since both managing directors Mr. Günter Schäfer and Mr. Manfred Börner retired, Mr. Frank Starzmann is now sole shareholder and director of Wachtler GmbH. 50 years of experience in building lathes pays off.
